Personal Discipleship

To make sure all of our students are grounded in the foundational truths of the faith and that students all over the world have been taught similar content, we have an established curriculum of personal discipleship resources. If thousands of movements all did their own thing in discipleship we couldn’t function, communicate, or collaborate as a ministry. Here, then, are the Campus Ministry personal discipleship resources—the Growing Movement Series.

1. Life Concepts. Basic Follow-up lessons

2. Satisfied? booklet. Introduction to the Spirit-Filled Life

3. Four Sevens. Primer on how to have a Quiet Time

4. The Compass. Over 40 personal discipleship lessons

5. Thirsty devotional. Comprehensive study on Holy Spirit

6. Cru.comm. Four-year Bible study curriculum

7. The Ultimate Roadtrip. Leading an effective Small Group

8. Postcards From Corinth. Philosophy/practice of discipleship

9. Design for Discipleship. A biblical overview of discipleship

Discipleship Online

StartingWithGod.com is a Website for new believers. Usually 75% of the people who indicate they received Christ at EveryStudent.com, continue on to this site. It gives new Christians “all that would be great for them to know, their first year.”

Cultivating Community

Community is the environment in which discipleship takes place and therefore a part of discipleship is building community. Our most comprehensive and effective tool for creating community is the book Kingdom of Couches.

Philosophy of Discipleship

The “how-to” wisdom of decades of Campus Crusade discipleship is brought together in the book Postcards From Corinth. In here you’ll find articles on: Selecting DisciplesSpiritual MultiplicationBook recommendationsHow to conduct Basic Follow-up; and 50 other discipleship articles.

The Spirit-Filled Life

This is a distinctive of Campus Crusade discipleship. We want every student to understand and  experience what it means to walk in step with the Spirit, to be filled with the Spirit, and to be able to communicate and teach others how to be filled with the Spirit.

The Spirit-Filled life is the key to spiritual renewal and reaching the campus with the gospel. The Spirit-Filled life is a Christ-centered life. The most comprehensive resource on the Spirit-Filled life is the Thirsty devotional.

Small Groups

One of the most important aspects of discipleship is involvement in a small group. Here students learn how to study the Word, pray together, experience community, and embrace a vision for ministry.

Cru.comm is our small group curriculum, that in the course of 3-4 years can take a new Christian, ground them in the faith and grow them into a Christ-centered leader. Cru.comm can be found here along with a semester of free studies.

The Essentials is about a year of small group studies with content easily transferable to others.

All of the critical components of leading a small group can be found in The Ultimate Roadtrip. Chapters include: Asking the Right QuestionsPreparing the StudyDiscussion Problems; and more.

Prayer

Prayer is one of the most essential disciplines of the Christian life. Here are several articles to help you mobilize prayer on your campus from Fireseeds of Spiritual AwakeningPraying for the CampusThe Power of ConfessionFervent PrayerHumbling Ourselves.

Sexual Purity

A crucial aspect of discipleship is dealing with dating and sexual purity. Here you can find some helpful resources.
